I know Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage.
I went to school here, graduating in 2006.
I started teaching just 4 months after graduating.
I bought the school in 2010.

When I say I know Bodymechanics, it’s a true statement.  I don’t know about

other programs – if they are good or not.  I have spent years taking continuing education classes around the country and I’ve seen and worked with therapists who didn’t go to Bodymechanics School.  I’ve witnessed many different approaches to bodywork – some great, some I wouldn’t want to try.  But I always say there’s a therapist out there for everyone.

That said, because of this experience with seeing other therapists from around the country, when the opportunity arose to buy Bodymechanics School from the founder, Robert Haase, LMP, I jumped on the opportunity.  I knew the quality of our program.  I knew the quality of our graduates. I didn’t want to see Bodymechanics School close.

I have always known and believed in the quality of our program.

This year, we expanded in a big way.  We opened our second campus in Vancouver, WA. The other program in Vancouver is closing very soon, and I truly felt that Vancouver deserved a quality massage program – so I jumped on the chance to open.

Yesterday, the Vancouver campus held the first ever LMP Eval class.  This class is held twice during the 8.5 month long program.  Once early on and the second closer to graduation.  This gives our students some constructive feedback on the quality of their massages from professionals.

The therapists who participated yesterday in our LMP Eval did not attend Bodymechanics School.  They didn’t enter the door with a preconceived notion of the students because they just didn’t know our program at all.

All of this to say, our program continues to excel as the feedback from professionals was great.  Social media was hopping with excited conversation between the therapists, staff and students.

Here are some comments posted to the school FaceBook page:

“I just had the most amazing massage from a student at Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage – Vancouver! Ryan is only three months into the program, too! He listened and performed better than massage therapists with over 20 years of experience!

I am a tough critic. I have been very cynical about my industry and many of those associated with it but today’s interaction with the students and professionals at this school has given me hope for the future of massage.”

“If you need me for anything please don’t hesitate to ask. I have never been so happy about a massage program as I am right now.”

“You should check out the school! It is way affordable and then you could teach me the stuff you learn. 😉
Seriously though….”

“I experienced a great student massage here today! I’m so happy Vancouver has a massage school we can be proud of.

I too, was very impressed with how well they did only a couple of months into training. :)”

Words cannot describe how I felt from reading these kind words.  Many of these professionals have years of experience – and the fact that they are encouraging their friends to attend Bodymechanics School so that they can learn from them just made me so proud of the staff and students in Vancouver.

When I bought the school, I made a few tweaks to the curriculum that created a more building block approach to learning massage and it just makes sense.  Students learn foundational concepts in anatomy and physiology.  They learn muscles in proper function in kinesiology.  They learn massage theory and practice strokes, and get in depth with injury treatment to understand how muscles get into dysfunction.  Our business modules prepare students for the practice of their dreams – whether that is working for themselves, or working for someone else.

Our successful program leads to a 99% success rate on the national certification exam required for licensure in Washington and Oregon.

I am confident in our exceptional massage therapy program – both in Tumwater and in Vancouver.  Our talented team is ready to help you prepare for your next career.
