Massage Theory & Practice Instructor
Location: Vancouver Campus
Morning sessions – 1-2 times per week from 9 am – 1 pm
Evening sessions – 1-2 times per week from 6 pm. – 10 pm
Job Brief:
We are seeking an organized, self-driven, motivated individual to assist students in reaching their career goal. The successful individual will be responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The Instructor is responsible for performing assigned duties for assigned classes at Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage.
Job Description:
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude in order to set example for students
- Provide an engaging and orderly classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Implement daily lesson plans
- Provide proper instruction and supervision in scheduled labs for assigned students
- Administer exams and maintain an accurate grade book
- Attend staff meetings and other organization sponsored meetings and activities.
- Enforce policy and procedures as set forth by Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage
- Participate in professional development training and have knowledge of information concerning new advances and procedures in your field through continuing education.
- Ensure proper utilization of tests and instructor resources by publishers.
- Monitor student grades/attendance and input on a daily basis.
- Follow OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have at least three years of field experience in instructional discipline. Previous instructor experience preferred.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
