700 Hour Massage Therapy Program
Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage has added more hours to our already exceptional massage program! We’re pretty excited about the new 700 hour massage therapy program because it will continue to enable our graduates to excel as Licensed Massage Therapists.
Over the years, our program has graduated hundreds of exceptional massage therapists who are in high demand in their communities. We’ve done this by building a foundation on the 4 Pillars of Success:
- Technique
- Communication
- Marketing
- Critical Thinking Skills
Our focus on these 4 foundations lead our students to understand advanced massage theory and they’ve gone on to be leaders of massage wherever they land – from Washington, to California, to Texas, to Nevada, to Arizona, to Virginia and much more.
Our previous programs (600 hours Tumwater and 650 hours in Vancouver) are excellent. Others in our profession believe that more hours are necessary….
A few years ago, I attended a conference with several massage therapist leaders in Washington State who were talking about the need for a base education of 625 hours that stemmed from the Entry Level Analysis Project (ELAP) as most states around the country require 500 hours / 6 months for a base massage license.
Their reasoning was that many massage schools are failing to produce quality massage therapists, and on top of that, their graduates are ill-prepared to pass the MBLEx (licensing exam).
Our program was producing exceptional massage therapists who were VERY equipped to pass the MBLEx at our 600 or 650 hours.
So, you might be wondering why we raised the program to 700 hours…
