Massage Envy – Olympia
Bodymechanics School has had a long relationship with Massage Envy in Olympia.
Massage Envy – Olympia was launched by Nancy Allen, LMT. Nancy graduated from Bodymechanics School in the early 2000’s. She had a private practice in Olympia until she had the dream to bring Massage Envy to Olympia and introduce thousands of people in our community to the benefits of massage. Fun fact: Nancy was my business instructor in 2005-2006 when I was a student at Bodymechanics School.
I watched Nancy grow the franchise with such love and compassion for the massage therapists she hired. It’s no wonder that the massage therapists that worked for Nancy did so for five, six or seven years.
This track record is unheard of in the franchise world. And it speaks volumes to how Massage Envy – Olympia treats their employees.
2022 saw a change in ownership with another Bodymechanics grad taking the helm at our local Massage Envy. Tammi Bond, LMT and Ashley Smith bought ME from Nancy. Tammi was one of my earliest students when I first started teaching at Bodymechanics School.
You just never know where your massage education will take you!
Our team reached out to Tammi and Ashley last month to gauge interest in our Network of Business program. They both eagerly joined the program and are excited about creating a mutually beneficial relationship with our students.
Tammi says the opportunities we have created will help her attract employees who are looking to start their careers, and who could benefit from Massage Envy’s training programs. Tammi goes on to say that this program will allow them to have a more personal relationship with the students who are interested in the massage franchise environment – and possibly change the minds of those who don’t feel the same.
As an employer, Massage Envy offers free continuing education classes for their employees and they pay licensing fees as well.
Today, Rachel and I toured their facility and met their staff. We were impressed with the passion they have to help people grow and feel better. They definitely have a desire to help their LMTs grow personally and professionally. The location was very professional, clean and the staff were friendly. We feel proud to have this community partnership.
We look forward to Massage Envy’s participation in our students development through programs such as:
- Externship opportunities
- Employment panels
- Vendor fairs
- Facility tours
- Graduation panels
