Massage Therapy School – Vancouver WA

Bodymechanics School is excited to be offering our top-notch massage education in Vancouver WA.  When I heard that the other massage therapy program in town was closing and relocating their massage school to Tigard, Oregon, I jumped on the chance to bring Bodymechanics School to Vancouver WA.  I already had plans for a second location in the works – and honestly, I jumped at the chance to open in Vancouver.  I have met many of the staff and graduates from Everest College and I am saddened for what they are going through.  The therapists I’ve met are wonderful people and are very close knit.  From the Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board:

Everest Campuses Closing

The Everest College Bremerton, Seattle, Renton, and Vancouver campuses are closing. Zenith Education Group announced that students at these campuses will have the opportunity to attend other campuses, including Everest College Everett and Tacoma, as well as the Everest Institute Tigard campus in Oregon. Students will be able to complete their training at these consolidated campuses. Approximately 300 students are affected, according to Zenith, which acquired the campuses earlier this year from the now defunct Corinthian Colleges, Inc.  (http://www.wtb.wa.gov/pcs.asp)

Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage is not a new school – just new to Vancouver Washington.  We’ve been in Olympia since 1999.  We have a long history of offering an exceptional massage program to the South Sound for 17 years.  Joining the Vancouver community is an opportunity for us to expand – and for Vancouver to continue to thrive with massage.

Vancouver deserves to have a quality massage school – one that doesn’t require students to drive hours outRush Hour Portland of their way to get the quality education they seek.  Though Tigard might be 25 miles south of Vancouver, with the traffic congestion and construction on the Terwilliger S Curves, travel delays of 45 minutes up to a couple of hours is not an exaggeration.

Beyond the traffic issues, choosing to go to a massage therapy school in Vancouver instead of Tigard Oregon has several benefits for you – the massage student (soon to be therapist.)  Namely, community building and marketing opportunities.

Through our network, student clinic and event opportunities, students will be working ON their business while in school.  You will be meeting the public and interacting with potential clients while in school – thus increasing your business opportunities after graduation.  You’ll go to school in the community you live in.

Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage builds relationships in Vancouver

The massage therapy community in Vancouver is excited and supportive of Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage.  We’ve met with the owners of Massage Envy – West Vancouver; Elements Spa – Salmon Creek and Hand & Stone Spa of Vancouver who are all looking forward to hiring quality massage therapists and have a local school offering continuing education.  Several chiropractors have reached out already, all who look forward to working with our graduates.  Job opportunities abound!

We’ve received calls already from interested members in the community who are looking for a student clinic massage.  This is great news for you – and for me!  Again, this is evidence that the community in Vancouver is supporting our massage therapy school – and will support our graduates.

Massage Therapy School - Vancouver WAIf you are considering massage school and you live in Southwest Washington – take a closer look at Bodymechanics School.  With locations in Olympia and Vancouver, we’ve got Tacoma to Portland covered – as well as Long Beach to Morton.  Easy drives in either direction without the hassle of traffic congestion. Hello, I was curious if the massage program is looking for experienced massage therapists to teach. Personally I have practiced massaged for 8 years and would like to share some of what I have learned. Feel free to respond to my e-mail at recoverymassage2012@gmail.com
