About the Course:
Learn the essential skills for Side-lying Massage including how to set up pillows, secure draping as well as specific massage strokes and stretches unique to the Side-lying position. Lying on one’s side (or the fetal position) is not only comfortable, but can also add a feeling of safety, especially for people with PTSD.
Not everyone can or should lay prone, some examples include during pregnancy, postpartum, post-surgery, or if they have breast or abdominal tenderness. Side-lying is also ideal for anyone with lower back issues, hip pain or sciatica.
This class will help you gain confidence and the skill to be able to offer an effective and alternative position on the table for your diverse clientele.
About the Instructor:

Julianna developed and implemented a complimentary prenatal massage program at an OB/GYN clinic at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.
